About The Role

TurboHire is seeking UI/UX Engineers who can craft seamless, intuitive, and mobile-friendly experiences for our recruitment platform. With recruiters and candidates increasingly engaging on mobile, your work will directly impact product adoption and customer satisfaction. You’ll use our core stack — React, Material UI, Figma, CSS3, and JavaScript — to bring designs to life, ensuring consistency and performance across web and mobile devices.

Responsibilities

• Build responsive, mobile-first UIs using React, Material UI, JavaScript, and CSS3.
• Translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, production-ready components.
• Ensure TurboHire’s platform delivers a consistent experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to refine mobile flows, gestures, and usability.
• Optimize UI for performance, accessibility, and cross-browser/device compatibility.
• Extend and maintain our Material UI design system with reusable components.
• Partner with backend teams to integrate UI with REST APIs.
• Participate in usability testing and design reviews, iterating quickly based on feedback.
  
  

• Hands-on experience with React and Material UI.
• Strong skills in JavaScript (ES6+), CSS3, and HTML5.
• Proven ability to design and implement mobile-first, responsive interfaces.
• Proficiency in working with Figma for design handoff and iteration.
• Understanding of UX principles: accessibility, navigation flow, touch-friendly layouts.
• Familiarity with Git-based version control and agile workflows.
• Ability to learn fast, adapt quickly, and thrive in a dynamic startup environment.
  
  

• Experience with TypeScript.
• Knowledge of progressive web apps (PWAs) or mobile-friendly performance optimization.
• Exposure to user research or analytics-driven UX improvements.
