The Human Capital Offering Portfolio focuses on helping organizations manage and sustain their performance through their most important asset: their people. Position Summary
Level: Consultant or equivalent
As an experienced Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines. Need-basis you will be mentoring and/or directing junior team members/liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand the functional requirements.
Work you’ll do:
HC Forward is Deloitte’s innovation engine for Human Capital, integrating technology, data, and industry expertise to create scalable solutions and assets that extend client capabilities and drive ongoing value across all Human Capital offerings.
In this role you will -
- Built predictive models for employee attrition, performance, and career progression using ML.
- Developed analytics to optimize recruitment and predict candidate success.
- Created workforce planning tools for forecasting headcount, skill gaps, and succession needs.
- Designed sentiment analysis systems using NLP on surveys and internal communication.
- Built intelligent chatbots and virtual assistants for employee support using LLMs.
- Automated resume screening and candidate matching with NLP and semantic search.
- Created document processing workflows for HR using OCR and Document AI.
- Implemented anomaly detection for compliance and risk monitoring in HR processes.
- Designed executive dashboards for leadership insights into workforce metrics.
- Developed ROI models for HR programs including learning, wellness, and retention.
- Built recommendation systems for personalized employee development.
- Applied network analysis to map collaboration and influence within the organization.
- Led POCs for emerging HR tech like Generative AI and VR/AR.
- Created reusable ML components for integration into internal and client platforms.
- Delivered end-to-end data science projects, from stakeholder engagement to production deployment.
- Travel: Based on business needs.

Qualifications
Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- 5–6 years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, and AI.
- Proven end-to-end project delivery experience, from proof of concept to production deployment.
- Technical leadership experience , driving key ML/AI initiatives independently.
- Strong Python programming skills with production-level code practices (OOP, API development, testing, documentation).
- Deep understanding of classical ML algorithms : Random Forests, Gradient Boosting, SVMs, clustering, etc.
- Practical experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras , or PyTorch .
- Expertise in time series forecasting and anomaly detection techniques.
- Solid grasp of model evaluation, validation , and optimization practices.
- Experience building and managing data pipelines, ETL workflows , and handling large-scale datasets (TB+) .
- Hands-on deployment on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including use of managed ML services.
- Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes and serverless architectures for scalable ML deployment.
- Experience in NLP techniques : text preprocessing, feature extraction, sentiment analysis, NER , document classification.
- Hands-on with transformer models (e.g., BERT, GPT) and libraries like Hugging Face, spaCy , NLTK.
- Knowledge of MLOps best practices : model versioning, monitoring, automated retraining.
- Ability to build scalable ML APIs and pipelines using tools like FastAPI or Flask.
Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- Experience with Generative AI and LLMs ( LangChain , RAG, prompt engineering, fine-tuning).
- Familiarity with Computer Vision & Document AI , including OCR and image classification.
- Knowledge of Recommendation Systems : collaborative filtering, content-based, hybrid models.
- Background in causal inference, A/B testing , and experimental design.
- Exposure to Big Data tools (PySpark, Dask ), data visualization (Tableau, Power BI, Plotly ), and DevOps practices (Git, CI/CD, SQL, NoSQL/vector DBs).
Education:
- BE/B.Tech/M.C.A./ M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university
