Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- For technical specialists, accountable for delivering expert advice or service, using specialist knowledge and subject matter expertise.
- Applies judgement to deliver outcomes, evaluating a range of potential solutions, considering the impact for customers, cost, and risk.
- Manages conflicts that may impact delivery.
- Challenges upwards given knowledge of delivery and awareness of complex systems and the broader picture
- Identifies and anticipates need for changes to continuously improve quality and efficiency of output.
- Manages resources and risks using expert judgment, knowledge, and experience.
- Data Gathering and Analysis: analyses relevant data from various sources, such as financial statements, market research reports, industry databases, and internal company data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Financial Modelling: Develop and maintain financial models to support decision making.
- Data Visualization and Reporting: Use data visualization tools and techniques to present complex information in a clear and concise manner. They create reports, dashboards, and visualizations that effectively communicate key findings and insights to stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding
- Collaborate with internal parties to analyse information needs, with the objective of delivering clear recommendations.
- Work independently and under direction of the project manager.
- Drive and challenge project team members on their assumptions on data assumptions and findings.
- Leverage strong analytical skills required to gain a thorough understanding of data and translation into requirements.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong data analytical skills, supported by advanced Excel and Power BI knowledge.
- Finance related degree and / accountant/MBA qualifications.
- Ability to build good relationships, both internally and externally.
- Confident and effective communicator (both written and verbal) across all levels of the organisation.
- Proven and demonstrable analytical and critical thinking skills essential, with the ability to think laterally and generate creative solutions.
- Ability to identify, understand and support the impact assessment for the solution.
- Excellent MS Office skills, particularly with MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Good Finance domain experience of 12+ Years.
- Significant and demonstrable track record of end to end delivery of projects, including demonstrable experience of successfully turning around failing projects, building momentum, and buy-in to a new project
- Experience of leading business transformation projects, working with both internal and external stakeholders within a Finance Function.
- Ability to work in an agile way in a fast-paced environment.
- Banking/Insurance/Asset Management background essential
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Masters in any discipline or MBA Finance (preferred)
