THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a talented Web Developer to join our team. This role involves a mix of web design and development, content and site maintenance, and regular updates to ensure our digital presence aligns with company goals and standards.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops, implements and maintains websites and landing pages for the company websites, while maintaining consistency with the company’s business strategy and image.
• Encourages and facilitates consistent, creative, and unified web design across the organization’s web properties
• Manage content management system (CMS) syndication on the back end to update and change websites.
• Responsible for the content on the full site and all sections and maintaining consistency of the overall sites
• Participate in design tasks from concept development through to delivery.
• Design and provide front-end HTML coding for sites as well as incremental enhancements and/or re-work of current web-based sites.
• Perform web development, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation tasks for online processes in accordance with industry practices and specific corporate procedures and standards.
• Develop and support existing templates and content production processes.
• Implement new functionality and processes to help all sites stand out in the marketplace.
• Implement new website designs to coincide with marketing direction.
• Manage company’s E-commerce initiatives.
• Research best practices and gather user feedback to determine user requirements and preferences for redesigning existing websites and creating new websites/pages.
• Provide strategic recommendations on the functionality, content, look, and feel for all sites pages.
• Collects and analyzes web analytics and similar data; identifies opportunities to improve search engine optimization (SEO), time on site, web traffic, and other relevant metrics.
• Maintains current knowledge of best practices and emerging developments in web design, web development, and technology.
• Perform other tasks as required.

SKILLS REQUIRED

• 1-3 years of professional experience in web development, preferably with a focus on WordPress and front-end technologies
• Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, custom theme/plugin development, and performance optimization
• Highly proficient with HTML5, CSS3 and Bootstrap 4.
• Working knowledge of PHP 8, JavaScript, Tailwind CSS, SQL, ACF and SCSS.
• Good understanding of DOM, JavaScript DOM manipulation, AJAX and other Js Libraries.
• Proficient in Git, debugging tools, and cross-browser compatibility best practices.
• Knowledge of SEO principles, website management, analytics, design, and adherence to best practices
• Awareness of current web design trends and techniques
• Strong attention to detail with creativity in analytical thinking and problem-solving
• Effective team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues
