Job Title: WordPress Web Developer

Location: Ranchi
Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled WordPress Web Developer to design, develop, and maintain dynamic, responsive, and user-friendly websites. You will be responsible for building WordPress themes, plugins, and custom solutions tailored to client and project needs, ensuring high performance and SEO optimisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins
• Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into responsive, functional websites
• Ensure websites are optimized for speed, SEO, and scalability
• Troubleshoot and resolve website problems, bugs, and performance issues
• Manage website updates, backups, and security measures
• Collaborate with designers, content creators, and other developers
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies
• Migrate websites and perform technical maintenance as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in WordPress (including theme and plugin development)
• Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL
• Experience with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Divi
• Familiarity with WooCommerce and e-commerce website development
• Understanding of SEO best practices and website optimization
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git)
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot across multiple browsers and platforms
• Experience working with REST APIs (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications (optional):

• Experience with headless WordPress or JAMstack
• Familiarity with other CMS platforms
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG)

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on WordPress development experience
