WordPress/WooCommerce Web Developer – Long-Term Project

Overview

We are looking for an experienced and proactive WordPress/WooCommerce Developer to take over and complete the development of an existing eCommerce website. This is a long-term project, and we are seeking someone who can not only finalise the remaining work but also provide ongoing support, maintenance, SEO, and digital marketing expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Take over an existing WordPress/WooCommerce website project and complete all remaining development tasks
• Perform regular maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting
• Improve website speed, security, and overall performance
• Implement on-page SEO best practices and collaborate on off-page strategies
• Assist with digital marketing efforts including tracking, analytics, and content improvements
• Provide strategic input on site improvements, conversion optimization, and user experience
• Communicate progress and recommendations regularly

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of experience with WordPress and WooCommerce development
• Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL
• Experience with SEO implementation and understanding of digital marketing fundamentals
• Familiarity with Google Analytics, Search Console, and basic SEO tools (e.g., Yoast, Rank Math)
• Experience with WooCommerce customization, plugin management, and third-party integrations
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a timely and organized manner
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills in English (written and verbal)

Nice to Have:

• Experience with page builders
• Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Klaviyo)
• Basic graphic design skills or experience with tools like Canva or Adobe XD
• Previous work on performance optimization and conversion rate improvement
