Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Android HMI Developer who is passionate about building state-of-the-art infotainment applications for next-gen vehicles. This role demands a strong grasp of Android application development with a focus on automotive HMI systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including UI/UX designers, system engineers, and platform developers to deliver world-class user experiences in vehicles.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android-based HMI applications tailored for automotive infotainment systems.
• Collaborate with UI/UX teams to implement visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces using modern Android toolkits like Jetpack Compose.
• Translate business requirements and design mockups into functional, high-performance applications.
• Optimize application performance and memory usage for embedded environments.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Integrate and test features with real automotive hardware and simulators.
  
  

Primary Skills Required

• Strong hands-on experience in Android application development using Java and Kotlin, specifically in the automotive domain.
• In-depth knowledge of Android application components such as Activities, Services, Broadcast Receivers, and Content Providers.
• Proficiency in Jetpack Compose, Material Design, and latest Android development paradigms.
• Skilled in using Android Studio IDE for end-to-end application development and debugging.
  
  

Secondary Skills (Good To Have)

• Proficient with Android debugging tools such as logcat, ADB, and Systrace.
• Sound knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOPS) principles.
• Familiarity with common design patterns including MVP, MVVM, Observer, and Factory.
• Understanding of Android internal framework components and lifecycle management.
• Experience with integrating third-party libraries, SDKs, and APIs into Android applications.
• Working knowledge of jUnit, Espresso, and other Android test automation frameworks.
• Understanding of Gradle build scripts and Android Makefiles (good to have).
• Exposure to AOSP build systems, Gerrit code review, and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment with Scrum/Kanban methodologies.
