What You'll Do
- Requirement Analysis: Thoroughly analyze project requirements, design specifications, and user stories to fully understand the scope and objectives of each feature.
- Test Environment Management: Arrange, set up, and configure necessary test environments to ensure effective and comprehensive test case execution.
- Review Meetings: Actively participate in and conduct review meetings to discuss test plans, test cases, and the current status of defects.
- Manual Testing: Execute manual test cases with precision, meticulously analyze results, and accurately identify any deviations from expected behavior.
- Defect Management: Accurately track, log, prioritize, and manage defects throughout their entire lifecycle, ensuring clear communication with developers until resolution.
- Communication & Reporting: Maintain continuous and clear communication with the Test Manager and development team regarding testing progress, roadblocks, and critical findings.
- Comprehensive Documentation: Develop, maintain, and manage comprehensive test documentation, including:
- Detailed Test Plans
- Well-structured Test Cases for various testing processes
- Concise Summary Reports on test execution and defect status
- Thorough Test Data preparation for test cases
- "Lessons Learned" documents based on testing inputs from previous projects
- "Suggestion Documents" aimed at improving overall software quality
- Clearly defined Test Scenarios
- Bug Reporting: Clearly report identified bugs to developers, providing precise steps to reproduce, expected results, and actual results, facilitating efficient defect resolution.
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to dissect project requirements, design specifications, and user stories.
- Hands-on experience in setting up and configuring test environments.
- Proficiency in executing manual test cases, analyzing results, and identifying deviations.
- Expertise in tracking, logging, prioritizing, and managing defects through their lifecycle.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with development teams and test management.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain detailed test documentation (Test Plans, Test Cases, Summary Reports, Test Data, Lessons Learned, Suggestion Documents, Test Scenarios).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
- Ability to clearly articulate identified bugs with precise reproduction steps
