Comply Chimp is Looking for:

We’re looking for an AI Engineer who can go beyond model integration — someone who can embed AI deeply into product workflows and make it core to the user experience.

You’ll work directly with the founders to design and build an AI-native compliance automation engine, capable of:

• validating evidence trustworthiness,
• generating and maintaining control lists, and
• recommending the right compliance tools for each control.
  
  
  

This is a hands-on, end-to-end engineering role — ideal for someone who thrives in early-stage environments and enjoys shaping architecture, data pipelines, and AI strategy from scratch.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy core AI/ML components for our compliance automation platform.
• Build an evidence trust engine leveraging cryptography and AI-based validation.
• Develop secure, deterministic data pipelines for compliance workflows.
• Integrate LLMs and NLP models (OpenAI, Anthropic, HuggingFace, LangChain, DSPy, etc.) into production features.
• Collaborate closely with the founding engineer on architecture, model deployment, and code reviews.
• Work with the product team to iterate quickly and deliver a robust MVP.
• (Preferred) Contribute to frontend or full-stack integration of AI components using TypeScript/JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular.
  
  
  

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Applied Machine Learning, AI Engineering, or NLP (preferably in startup or SaaS environments).
• Proven track record of deploying production-grade AI/ML systems (not just prototypes).
• Strong programming experience in Python, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with vector databases (pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain, DSPy, or custom pipelines).
• Familiarity with security and compliance systems — SOC 2, ISO 27001, or NIST 800-53 is a plus.
• Solid understanding of data security, encryption, and deterministic data handling.
• Working knowledge of Git, basic DevOps pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills — able to articulate technical decisions clearly.
  
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with GRC or compliance automation tools (Drata, Vanta, Secureframe, etc.).
• Some background in TypeScript/React or full-stack development for AI feature integration.
• Exposure to cybersecurity, audit, or risk automation domains.
• Prior experience working in early-stage or stealth startups.
