The Assistant Manager – Business Insights for data scientist would be a professional whose role revolves around extracting insights and knowledge from structured and unstructured data. They use a blend of analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets. They then use this information to develop data-driven solutions to challenging business problems.

What You'll Do

• Key Technical Skills:
• Programming Languages: Proficient in Python, R, SQL, and possibly Java or Scala.
• Machine Learning: Familiar with machine learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, and Keras.
• Data Manipulation: Experienced in data cleansing, manipulation, and analysis using Pandas, NumPy, or similar libraries.
• Other Skills
• Process Analysis and Improvement: Conduct business process analysis; develop and implement improvement strategies; use data-driven approaches to validate solutions.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Act as a liaison; communicate expectations and updates; conduct regular project meetings.
• Team Leadership and Development: Supervise project team members; provide coaching and guidance.
• Roles and Responsibilities
• Data Collection and Cleaning:
• Gather data from multiple sources, including internal databases and external APIs.
• Clean and preprocess data to remove inaccuracies and prepare it for analysis.
• Data Analysis and Interpretation:
• Analyze large datasets to identify underlying trends and patterns.
• Perform statistical analysis to derive deeper insights and test hypotheses.
• Development of Predictive Models:
• Use machine learning algorithms to develop predictive models.
• Validate and refine models based on performance to ensure accuracy and relevance.
• Data Visualization and Reporting:
• Create visual representations of data and model outcomes to communicate insights.
• Prepare reports and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Decision Support:
• Provide data-driven recommendations to influence strategic decisions and solve business challenges.
• Work closely with company leadership to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
• Continual Learning and Updating:
• Stay updated with the latest technology trends and advancements in data science.
• Attend workshops and conferences to continuously improve technical skills and business acumen.
• Collaboration and Leadership:
• Collaborate with other data scientists, engineers, and business teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
• Lead project teams and mentor junior data scientists.
