Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable and high-performing database architectures
- Build and optimize complex queries, stored procedures, and indexing strategies
- Collaborate with backend engineers and data teams to model and structure databases that meet application requirements
- Perform data migrations, transformations, and integrations across environments
- Ensure data consistency, integrity, and availability across distributed systems
- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines and real-time data flows
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning improvements
- Automate repetitive database tasks and deploy schema changes
- Assist with database security practices and access control policies
- Support production databases and troubleshoot incidents or outages
- Strong experience in relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL Server, or Oracle
- Proficiency in writing optimized SQL queries and performance tuning
- Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, or Redis
- Solid understanding of database design principles, normalization, and data warehousing
- Strong expertise in Oracle and GoldenGate.
- Experience with database platforms such as Vertica, Couchbase Capella, or CockroachDB.
- Hands-on experience with ETL pipelines, data transformation, and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash)
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and DevOps tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins)
- Knowledge of cloud database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL, Azure SQL Database)
- Experience with data backup, disaster recovery, and high availability setups
