Overview Of Job Function

The Associate Software Engineer(MERN) will participate fully in all our R&D activities. Subject to their specialization, they may be involved in the design, development, testing, publishing, and support of different cloud-based products and solutions. The role will work closely with a global team of engineers to build robust solutions that meet our business objectives following continuous integration and continuous deployment processes. Additionally, they will provide recommendations to management as to process, technologies, or other improvements intended to benefit productivity, efficiency and the quality of the solutions developed by the team.

Responsibilities

Core Tasks:

• Develop programming, testing and automation skills and knowledge of Verint’s product offering
• Ensure quality of the feature being delivered, testing functionality before being committed for review
• Ongoing evaluation (test) of feature – proactively work with others to identify issues or potential risk areas with the solution (performance etc…)
• Evaluate whether implementation tasks meet feature requirements and work with Team Lead to ensure they do
• Develop features using best practices and ensure they fit with the architecture of the product
  
  

Qualifications

Industry Specific:

• A degree or post graduate qualification in Computer Science or Software Engineering at 2:1 or above
• Some commercial experience working within software engineering
• Mastery of programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, and others relevant to the MERN stack.
• Proficiency in front-end frameworks like React and back-end technologies like Node.js and Express.js.
  
  

Product / Technical

• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Equivalent with
• Core Technology: 2+ years of working with MERN (Mongo, Express JS, React JS, Node JS), Java and/or Python.
• Front End: 2+ years of working experience in UI/UX development, Typescript, React and/or other similar libraries, JavaScript. HTML5, CSS, Node.js, RESTful Web Services, Linux/Unix Services (Typescript compulsory)
• Database: MongoDB/NoSQL DBs (Good to have)
• Cloud: Working knowledge of Cloud tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub and CI/CD tools such as Harness and/or Jenkins
• Monitoring and Observability: Working knowledge of Monitoring Tools such as Datadog and/or OpsGenie.
• Working experience of Cloud (preferably AWS/Azure) is an added advantage.
• Agile: Good Knowledge of Agile Methodology
