Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Automation QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of automation frameworks, a high level of coding expertise, and a proven ability to work independently in an individual contributor role. This role involves ensuring the quality of complex software systems by designing and executing automated tests, analyzing results, and supporting the deployment of high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities

► Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using programming languages such as Java or other scripting languages.

► Conduct API testing using Postman or similar tools to validate the functionality, reliability, performance, and security of application programming interfaces.

► Perform database testing to ensure data integrity, data validation, and other backend checks.

► Collaborate closely with the development team to understand requirements, design test strategies, and ensure efficient test coverage.

► Analyze, identify, and report issues, and work with the team to implement solutions to maintain product quality.

► Continuously work on improving automation processes to enhance the quality and efficiency of testing.

► Adapt and respond to fast-paced development timelines, while maintaining high standards for accuracy and thoroughness.

Required Qualifications

► Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

► Minimum of 6 years of experience in Automation QA roles.

► Strong coding and scripting ability, with a focus on Java or similar languages.

► Proficiency in API testing using Postman or equivalent tools.

► Solid understanding and experience with database testing.

► Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

► Ability to work effectively in an Individual Contributor (IC) role.

Additional Information

Notice Period: Immediate to 15 days.

This is an onsite role located in Kolkata.
