About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled Azure Data Engineer with strong expertise in SQL and Azure data services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable data pipelines, data warehouses, and implementing data solutions on Microsoft Azure. Expert-level SQL skills are mandatory for this role, as the candidate will handle complex queries, optimization, and data transformations regularly.

Key Responsibilities:

● Design, develop, and maintain efficient, scalable data pipelines using Azure services like Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks.

● Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures,

functions, and scripts to manage, manipulate, and extract large datasets.

● Develop and manage data models, data lakes, and data warehouses on Azure.

● Implement ETL/ELT processes integrating data from multiple sources.

● Collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists, and analysts to gather data

requirements and deliver solutions.

● Ensure data quality, data governance, security, and compliance standards are

maintained.

● Perform data migration and transformation from on-premise to Azure cloud.

● Continuously monitor, troubleshoot, and tune data systems for performance and

cost-efficiency.

● Document solutions, data flows, and processes.

● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

● 5+ years of hands-on experience in SQL development: writing, debugging, and

optimizing complex SQL queries.

● Strong knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure

Databricks, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL Database.

● Experience in ETL/ELT design, development, and maintenance.

● Solid experience in data modeling, data warehousing, and data lake architecture.

● Strong proficiency in Python or Scala for data manipulation (nice to have).

● Experience with Big Data technologies, Spark, and Delta Lake.

● Knowledge of Data Governance, Security, Compliance policies.

● Experience with CI/CD pipelines and source control (Git, Azure DevOps).

● Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
