Back End Developer - Django

What you will do

This is a full-time on-site role for a Back End Developer with 3 years of experience.

Bengaluru. The Back End Developer will be responsible for back-end web development using

Django, software development, object-oriented programming (OOP), and collaborating with

front-end developers. The role involves programming, ensuring the functionality of web

applications, and optimizing system performance.

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop robust backend systems using Django (Python).
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs that power our frontend and client integrations.
• Work on database design and architecture, particularly with PostgreSQL and relational
• schemas.
• Write Technical Requirement Documents (TRDs) and lead code reviews from an
• architectural standpoint.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with frontend engineers, data scientists, and product
• teams to shape core features.
• Own services end-to-end, from writing code to managing deployment and monitoring.
• Optimize for performance, scalability, and security.
• Refactor legacy codebases and enforce backend best practices.

You’re a Great Fit If You Have:

• 3–5 years of backend engineering experience, primarily with Django and MongoDB.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience working in a SaaS B2B environment.
• Prior startup experience, where your code has been deployed and used in production.
• Strong understanding of database systems, schema design, and performance tuning.
• Experience writing TRDs and reviewing architectural decisions.
• A deep focus on clean, modular code and long-term maintainability.
• Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Comfort working in an agile, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Bonus Points If You:

• Have experience with microservices or modular monolith architectures.
• Are familiar with tools like Redis, Celery, or async task queues.
• Have worked on analytics-heavy or data-intensive platforms.
• Understand DevOps basics (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, etc.)
