Homeville Group is a financial technology, infrastructure and lending company building credit networks and platforms for housing finance ecosystem. The Company has built critical infrastructure layers for building housing focused credit platforms enabling retail credit in the housing sector. Homeville has adopted a multi-platform strategy to cater to various customer segments in the housing ecosystem. The company is creating large operating leverage with a common technology stack and team.
Bharat Housing Network is India’s largest affordable housing co-lending platform. It provides capital, technology and infrastructure to affordable housing finance companies and non-banking finance companies. The platform is pioneering affordable mortgages with technology and a network approach for last-mile credit delivery. Bharat Housing Network is focused at empowering regional housing finance ecosystem and enabling financial inclusion.
The Position:
As a Back End Developer at Homeville, you will be involved in working on systems for all our users
(customers, internal users and partners). You will be involved in building software which not only looks
great, but solves major lending problems in the country. You’ll design wireframes, make organization
frameworks and components, help in defining the look and feel of credit systems and continually grow as a full stack engineer

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Use HTML/CSS to turn designs into performant and maintainable user interfaces
- Use server-side scripts to create micro-services that power our customer experience and user
journeys - Develop features across multiple subsystems within our applications, including collaboration in
requirement definition, prototyping, design, coding, testing & development - Part of the team in building a web-based software system, utilizing N-tier architectures, dynamic
content, highly-scalable approaches, and complex security models & Implementations - Part of the team that enables faster home buying using digital lending capabilities and collaborations with multiple stakeholders in the home buying journey
- Learn the various domains that fall under the purview of the lending industry
- Develop testable and accessible web applications
- Work with designers to identify and solve potential implementation issues
- Help translate user stories into technical solutions
- You proactively contribute to the success of the organization of which your team is a part– dedicating approximately 20% of your time contributing to the success of the functional level next to and above you.
- You have and continue to demonstrate command of the technical and operational requirements of
your role. - Mentor other engineers, support the technical culture, and help grow the team
- You fully comprehend, effectively communicate, and enforce goals and objectives, feedback,
measurable, and improvement plans - Generate ideas for new initiatives and technologies
- Communicate with project leads, product managers and other software developers
Key Skills / Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in a technical field, but we understand great engineers come from all sorts of different backgrounds and consider relevant work experience
- Strong knowledge of semantic HTML and CSS
- Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as PHP, Python, bonus for familiarity with CodeIgniter, Laravel
- Familiarity with responsive design/development and mobile-web best practices.
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves, collaborate with others and get stuff done
- Strong sense of responsibility; driving a project from inception to completion
- Affinity for solving problems and shipping impactful features, not polishing perfect code or
architecture - Experience working in a collaborative coding environment (and git specifically), refining designs
together, working through code reviews and managing pull requests - Knowledge of Cloud-based solutions, Agile, Test/Business Driven Development would be a plus.
