The Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in enabling data-driven decision-making at the highest levels of the organization. Reporting into the Office of the CEO, this role supports strategic planning and business performance tracking by providing actionable insights backed by rigorous data analysis.
You will collaborate across departments to gather data, analyze trends, develop dashboards, and support key reporting deliverables for executive leadership and investor stakeholders. This is a high-visibility role, ideal for someone who thrives in analytical problem-solving, is comfortable handling ambiguity, and can communicate insights clearly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Performance Analysis
- Analyze company-wide business performance metrics, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support CEO-level decisions.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and data visualizations for KPIs across functions such as Sales, Marketing, Product, and Finance.
- Track progress against strategic and operational objectives; surface risks or deviations in performance.
2. Financial Modeling & Market Research
- Assist with financial modeling, scenario analysis, and business case evaluations for strategic initiatives and investments.
- Conduct competitive and market analysis, including benchmarking, pricing, and customer insights.
- Support M&A and partnership assessments in collaboration with the Corporate Development team.
3. Executive Reporting & Communication
- Prepare concise, insight-rich reports and presentations for executive leadership, board reviews, and investor relations.
- Work closely with Finance, Strategy, and other teams to ensure accurate and consistent reporting inputs.
- Contribute to internal governance cadences by providing clear summaries of business data and trends.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with teams across the organization to gather, clean, and structure data for ongoing and ad hoc analysis.
- Help define and refine business metrics that align with company strategy and operational goals.
- Serve as a bridge between data and decision-making, ensuring clarity and impact in how insights are shared.
Skills and Expertise Required:
- 2+ years of experience in business analysis, strategy, finance, or data analytics roles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfort working with complex datasets
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets)
- Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools is a plus
- Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, or business case development preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data in a clear, concise manner
- Strong stakeholder management skills and comfort working across departments
- High attention to detail, with an ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree a plus
