Business Analyst 1 - International Markets

Analyst 1 is an experienced analytics professional responsible for cross market/portfolio/brand performance analytics, contextualizing market event dynamics, and harmonizing performance across markets. Core team member supporting above market commercial, finance, and BIA via frequent engagement with in-market BIA staff.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis and interpretation of complex data sets to derive meaningful insights and recommendations
  • Drive value for clients by optimizing/managing business processes, synthesizing data at regular intervals, maintaining high quality standards, applying automation using cutting edge technology, performing analyses, updating business rules, presenting results to stakeholders, answering queries on deliverables and generating focused insights.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business problems, goals and KPIs to develop analytical frameworks
  • Conduct research and collect real-world data from multiple sources to support business strategies and decision-making.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to design & implement digital analytics initiatives & measurement frameworks to optimize marketing campaigns and customer engagement
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to your team members
  • Collaborate with other teams to develop & enhance data infrastructure, data pipelines & analytical tools for efficient data collection, processing and analysis
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies

Skills and competencies

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and draw meaningful conclusions
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis techniques, predictive modeling and forecasting methodologies
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information to non-technical stakeholders in a clear manner
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Good to have -
  • Expertise in patient flow-based forecasting, trend-based forecasting, and long-term projection planning
  • Technical proficiency in Excel-VBA, PowerPoint-Thinkcell, SQL, R, and Power BI.
  • Therapy area knowledge across Oncology, Hematology, Cardiovascular, Neurology, etc.

Experience

  • We welcome candidates with a wide range of degrees & background, though sustained success with a significant volume of analytic & quantitative coursework is required. Successful applicants have a bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Management Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or similar.
  • Experience 1 to 3 years in a similar business analyst role, preferably within the biopharma or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Certification or training in relevant analytics or business intelligence tools is a plus
  • Good to have experiences -
  • Experience in cross-country analytics, insights generation, forecasting, and performance reporting within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience in regional/global strategy projects, including opportunity assessments and Go/No-Go decision strategies
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical data sources, such as Salesforce Execution data, IQVIA MIDAS, Analytics Link, KANTAR, and DRG.

On-site Protocol

BMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential, site-by-design, field-based and remote-by-design jobs. The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role
