Business Analyst in Chennai

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current logistics and warehouse workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
• Gather and document business requirements from key stakeholders including warehouse managers, logistics coordinators, and IT teams
• Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications
• Work with IT teams or external vendors to support implementation and enhancement of warehouse management systems, transport management systems, or ERP platforms
• Collect and analyze data related to inventory levels, order fulfillment, transportation, and storage operations
• Design and generate reports and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators such as inventory accuracy, order cycle time, on-time delivery, and warehouse space utilization
• Facilitate regular communication between operational teams, technology departments, and senior leadership to ensure alignment on project goals and business priorities
• Support implementation of automation tools, barcode or RFID tracking systems, or IoT solutions to improve visibility and efficiency in logistics operations
• Ensure logistics and warehouse processes comply with safety standards, legal regulations, and industry best practices
• Conduct risk assessments related to supply chain disruptions, system failures, or labor constraints
• Lead or support user acceptance testing for new systems or process changes
• Assist in development and delivery of training materials for end users across logistics and warehouse functions
• Provide insights and recommendations to reduce costs, improve service levels, and enhance customer satisfaction
• Monitor and evaluate performance of newly implemented solutions and suggest continuous improvements
• Help develop business cases to justify investment in new technologies or process changes
