Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled C++ Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance applications, with a focus on controlling and automating hardware such as 3D printers, CNC machines, laser cutters/engravers, plotters, and vinyl cutters. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, hardware communication expertise, and software optimization techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain C++ applications for controlling 3D printers, CNC machines, laser cutters/engravers, plotters, and vinyl cutters.
• Write efficient, scalable, and maintainable code for hardware control and automation.
• Implement communication protocols (e.g., G-code, RS-232, USB, Ethernet, MQTT) to interface with machines.
• Optimize real-time performance, motion control, and machine operations.
• Debug and troubleshoot hardware/software integration issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, designers, and product managers.
• Ensure software follows best practices, including clean architecture and design patterns.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in C++ development and manufacturing automation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in C++ (C++11/14/17/20) and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Experience with real-time system development and motion control.
• Familiarity with G-code, firmware development, and machine tool programming.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and multithreading.
• Experience working with hardware communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, TCP/IP, MQTT, USB).
• Understanding of firmware development and low-level programming.
• Proficiency in debugging tools and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN, etc.).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with motion planning algorithms and real-time embedded systems.
• Knowledge of OpenGL, DirectX, or other graphics libraries for visualization.
• Familiarity with embedded systems, microcontrollers (ARM, AVR, STM32, etc.), and RTOS.
• Experience with GUI development (Qt, wxWidgets, etc.) for machine control interfaces.
• Understanding of PLC programming and industrial automation.
• Experience with Python, Lua, or other scripting languages for automation.
• Knowledge of AI/ML applications in manufacturing and robotics.
