What you can expect

The DevOps team plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of Zoom’s key services. These include Zoom AI Companion, Live Transcription & Translation, Advanced Whiteboard, Zoom Docs, Audio Conferencing, Zoom Marketplace and the Zoom Web Client. As part of this team, you will be working in a high-impact environment. Collaborating closely with Developers, Infrastructure Engineers and Product teams to build and maintain resilient systems. We are responsible for deploying and managing services across multi-cloud and on-premises environment to ensure high availability.

About the Team

Zoom is transforming collaboration with cutting-edge AI and cloud solutions. We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to play a key role in Optimizing and maintaining our Zoom Gateway and AI services. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in high-scale, high-impact environments and who is also passionate about automation, cloud-native infrastructure and system reliability.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for enhancing CI/CD pipelines, automating deployments, improving system observability and collaborating with Developers to drive service maturity.

The role also requires participation in on-call rotations, 7 days a week to support production services.

Responsibilities

• Identify key areas for CI/CD improvement and develop solutions.

• Develop strong automation to speed up the software development cycle.

• Monitor service maturity metrics and collaborate with Developers to improve them.

• Build effective monitoring and alerting systems for infrastructure and services.

• Implement a highly scalable and secured infrastructure with infrastructure engineering teams.

What we’re looking for

• Experience leading large scale and high impact technical projects

• Cloud Infrastructure.

• Strong scripting experience in Python (preferred), Golang or shell.

• Expert level production experience, with Kubernetes in multi-cloud and on-prem. (Helm charts, K8s).

• Experience developing large scale Ansible automation.

• Hands-on experience in Terraform or other IaC tools.

• Experience building production code pipeline with Jenkins, Git, and ArgoCD.

• Experience with Prometheus, open telemetry or other monitoring platforms such as grafana.

• Experience with ELK stack.

• Linux experience.

• Bachelor degree in CS or similar domain with 3-4 years of experience required in DevOps/ SRE role in Cloud platforms..
