CLOUD DNS ENGINEER
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DNS Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in managing DNS environments across cloud platforms, on-premises infrastructure, and external hosting services. This individual will play a critical role in configuring and optimizing DNS settings, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the seamless operation of our DNS ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and troubleshoot DNS environments across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises solutions.
Configure and maintain AWS Route 53, Azure DNS, and Google Cloud DNS services.
Oversee on-premises DNS, including Microsoft DNS (AD-integrated DNS), Bind, and DNSMASQ.
Work with external hosting services such as Akamai, OpenDNS, and UltraDNS.
Maintain robust knowledge of IPv4/IPv6 networking and ensure proper configuration and client support.
Handle DHCP configurations and resolve related issues.
Investigate domain ownership using tools like whois, DomainTools, and others.
Manage domain registration and hosting services, including CSC and UltraDNS.
Utilize DDI management tools like Micetro to optimize DNS operations.
Collaborate with stakeholders to run POCs and manage projects.
Monitor and analyze DNS traffic flows, including load balancer and firewall interactions.
Utilize monitoring tools such as LogicMonitor, SCOM, and Cribl to ensure optimal performance.

AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
Good to have Certifications
Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Network Engineer
Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Extensive experience with DNS environments in both cloud and on-premises platforms.
Solid understanding of IPv4 (CIDR, etc.); familiarity with IPv6 is a plus.
Strong DNS troubleshooting skills, including diagnostics to confirm or rule out DNS issues.
Registrar and domain hosting knowledge with tools like CSC, UltraDNS, etc.
Familiarity with DDI tools (Bluecat, Infoblox, Efficient IP) and monitoring tools (Logic Monitor, SCOM, etc.).
Good communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Akamai and similar hosting services.
