Role description
Job Description: SRE - Cloud Solution Architect (AWS, Azure, GCP)
This role is for a generalist with tangible experience in developing solutions for enterprise customers. Since this is a customer-facing role with an even split between pre-sales and implementation, some pre-sales experience is important.
Responsibilities
Provide exceptional technical design and thought leadership to customers while working with a world-class sales and business development team.
Build deep relationships with clients as a trusted technical advisor on all matters related to public cloud, containerization, and modernization.
Establish Cloud & DevOps CoE & C4E for large enterprise customers to drive successful transformation and adoption.
Assess customers' cloud knowledge and readiness, support them through a structured development plan, and ensure successful delivery.
Generate public cloud migration roadmaps and blueprints.
Analyze application portfolios, identify dependencies & common infrastructure platform components, and assess migration feasibility.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of large-scale public cloud implementations and contribute to design & architecture.
Author and contribute to technical white papers, blog posts, and reusable content.
Educate customers on best practices and ensure world-class solutions.
Contribute to the development of engineering accelerators.
Conduct educational sessions and design exercises for customers.
Establish software best practices, analyze requirements & specifications, and design & develop solutions.
Implement security measures related to the development process.
Mentor and coach other members of the agile team.
Must Have
10+ years of experience, with at least 7+ years in public cloud transformation & DevOps.
Strong understanding of the evolving DevOps, SRE, and Observability ecosystem in a hybrid cloud environment.
5+ years of experience working in an Agile team.
Experience working with Kubernetes and the CNCF ecosystem.
Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, REST APIs & API Gateway principles and patterns.
Background in Software Development, DevSecOps, Site Reliability, and/or Systems Engineering.
Experience building and deploying solutions as containers on a cloud platform using an automated CI/CD pipeline.
Experience in configuring, monitoring, and handling scaling infrastructure in the cloud.
Hands-on experience with real-time observability solutions.
Experience provisioning production and non-production environments in the cloud.
Implemented advanced security, authentication, and single sign-on (SSO) across hybrid cloud.
Implemented end-to-end automated delivery pipelines for continuous application development.
Experience evaluating products/technology & creating IT Roadmaps for adoption.
Cloud-Specific Expertise
AWS Specific
5+ years AWS Architecture experience (highly desirable).
AWS Solution Architect certification (highly desirable).
Strong understanding of AWS infrastructure, services, and their limitations.
Expertise in Kubernetes and Elastic Kubernetes.
Experience implementing a DevOps model on AWS.
Azure Specific
5+ years Azure Architecture experience (highly desirable).
Microsoft Azure Architect (AZ-300/301 or equivalent) certification (highly desirable).
Hands-on experience with Azure, Azure Stack, Azure AD, and Azure Kubernetes.
Experience with networking technologies such as:
Firewalls (L7), Load Balancers (F5, Azure Traffic Manager, Azure Load Balancer, Azure Application Gateway/WAF).
Experience implementing a DevOps model using Azure DevOps.
Google Cloud Specific
3+ years GCP Architecture experience (highly desirable).
Google Professional Cloud Architect certification (highly desirable).
Experience implementing a DevOps model using GCP.
Added Advantage
Intermediate/advanced knowledge of AWS, GCP, and Azure services.
Industry certifications in Solutions Architecture (AWS/Azure/GCP).
