We are looking for senior professionals with 10+ years of experience in data science and deep exposure to the CPG & Retail industry to join our Analytics Consulting practice in Mumbai or Bangalore.

Senior Managers will lead end-to-end analytics programs within the CPG & Retail domain, build high-impact models, and serve as strategic advisors to clients on leveraging data to drive business transformation.

Education: Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research, or Information Sciences (Business Analytics, Informatics).

Required Skills: Successful candidates will have demonstrated the following skills and characteristics -

Must-Have (Senior Manager — CPG & Retail Analytics)

  • Proficiency in crafting and steering multiyear analytics roadmaps that align with C-suite growth priorities (category expansion, margin-mix, omnichannel) and driving the business case and secures executive sponsorship, funding, and governance buy-in.
  • Experience in managing concurrent analytics programs (demand sensing, personalization, supply-chain digitization), controlling scope, schedule, risks, and full financials while attaining target gross margins and client satisfaction scores.
  • Proven skill in guiding reference architectures that span cloud data platforms, streaming pipelines (Kafka, Delta Live Tables), feature stores, MLOps, and BI activation, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
  • Strong command of development & deployment of predictive, prescriptive, and GenAI solutions (e.g., assortment copilot, conversational shelf-analytics) with robust CI/CD, automated testing, and model-performance monitoring.
  • Experience in managing alliances with independent software vendors, hyperscalers, and data providers (NielsenIQ, Circana, Google Cloud Retail) to accelerate solution delivery, co-innovate, and unlock joint marketing funds.
  • Proven skill in recruiting, mentoring, and retaining multi-disciplinary teams (data engineers, scientists, product owners) and thus creating capability academies, career paths, and diversity initiatives; drives utilization and engagement scores.
  • Strong command of leading enterprise-wide adoption programs—communications, training, KPI

tracking—to ensure analytics deliver measurable ROI (lift in sell-through, inventory turns, promo ROAS) and embed continuous-improvement loops.

  • Experience in implementing delivery frameworks (Scaled Agile, PRINCE2, etc.) with rigorous quality gates, risk logs, and cyber-resilience measures; conducts executive read-outs and steering-committee governance.
  • Experience in sponsoring accelerators, reusable components, and patents that differentiate offerings and create licensing or subscription revenue streams.

Nice to have

  • Experience in leading multi-region programs that account for local trade promotions, tax regimes, and cultural buying patterns in North America, LATAM, EMEA, and APAC.
  • Experience in optimizing on-site/in-app ad inventory, shopper marketing funds, and data-clean-room collaborations with CPG partners.
  • Proven track record navigating GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and retailer deduplication rules; designing compliant data-sharing agreements.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead data science projects within the CPG domain, from problem definition and data acquisition to model deployment and impact tracking
  • Partner with client stakeholders to define KPIs, model use cases, and success metrics that align with strategic CPG & Retail objectives
  • Translate complex business problems into data-driven solutions, and advise clients on customer analytics, churn prediction, pricing optimization, and network quality insights
  • Guide teams in building advanced machine learning models tailored to CPG & Retail data structures and business logic
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to executives and non-technical stakeholders, translating models into actionable business strategies
  • Oversee quality, compliance, and governance across all phases of model development and deployment
  • Build and mentor high-performing teams, nurturing CPG & Retail domain knowledge and technical growth
  • Contribute to practice growth through thought leadership, IP development, and support for business development activities
