Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Cypress Automation Engineer to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing robust test automation solutions for web applications using Cypress.io. You will work closely with developers, QA analysts, and product owners to ensure that our applications meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automation test scripts using Cypress.io for web applications.
- Build and enhance test automation frameworks and utilities.
- Execute automated test suites and analyze test results.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify test cases suitable for automation.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Report and track defects in JIRA or similar tools and assist in troubleshooting issues.
Required Skills:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in test automation using Cypress.io.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Good knowledge of Mocha/Chai or other assertion libraries.
- Understanding of DOM, browser developer tools, and web debugging.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and tools like Postman or Swagger.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with BDD tools like Cucumber or integration with Gherkin syntax.
- Familiarity with Allure Reports, TestRail, or similar test reporting tools.
- Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., Lighthouse, WebPageTest).
- Knowledge of Docker, Node.js, or cloud-based testing platforms.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
