About the job:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical data analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets, generating insights, and supporting business decisions through data-driven approaches. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and stakeholders, to ensure effective use of data.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Data Analysis & Reporting:
1. Analyse large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
2. Define, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs).
3. Conduct ad-hoc analyses and present findings clearly.
4. Perform root cause analysis when metrics change and communicate insights effectively.

B. Dashboards & Visualisation:
1. Design and maintain dashboards using tools like Metabase, Grafana, or Looker.
2. Create clear visualizations tailored to different stakeholders.
3. Ensure dashboards are accurate, consistent, and up to date.

C. Data Quality & Governance:
1. Audit and validate data pipelines for quality issues.
2. Collaborate with data engineers on schema standards and data quality checks.
3. Document data definitions and metric logic.

D. Cross-functional Collaboration:
1. Partner with product and engineering teams for tracking and instrumentation.
2. Support government projects with reporting and insights.
3. Translate business problems into analytical frameworks and communicate results.

Other Requirements:

1. 1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field.
2. 2. Experience with Power BI/Tableau and SQL preferred.
3. 3. Strong analytical and communication skills.
