Data Analyst

Overview

• Supervise the activities of marine engine technicians engaged in the maintenance or repair of mechanical or electrical sensors and collect the data to inspect their work to ensure that it is performed properly
• Monitor and update the status of electronics, electrical and mechanical materials using ADDRESS. FTP, GTS data, ARGO, GPS, INSAT transmission and Seismic Events; prepare reports on stoppage of buoy, earthquake incidents, tsunami events, drift analysis and buoys history.
• Maintain multi viewing display units, data server, reception modems and other electrical and electronics devices at the data centre.
• Verify files and upload to corresponding buoy reception; Send Weather forecast & on-board testing data to field team.
• Co-ordinate for ensuring Standard Operating Procedures/ OEM Manuals are followed for deployment, operation, repair and maintenance of equipment onboard vessel and shore station as applicable.
• Monitor, verify and analyse data and log sheets of Moored Buoy, Tsunami Buoy or any other buoy deployed; provide high quality data and functional buoy status to OOS (NIOT) team on daily basis
• Update & maintain buoy wise deployment & retrieval details, delay & missed transmission, INCOIS and LES reports Prepare cruise track for upcoming cruise; Maintain all buoys deployment and retrieval on - board cruise communication and miscellaneous reports.
• Maintain a record of data storage and other data system related documents Plot buoy data using ferret, grapher, origin and Matlab platform.
• Update the software and other Data management sytem to provide quality data to the management Co-ordinating with Managers to analyse the feedback and consider the same during performance appraisal.
• Ensure that preventive and corrective action taken on negative feedback in continuous basis.
• Responsible for co-ordinating with Managers to ensure that Feedback received from Customers/ Stakeholders of contract Viz. Chief Scientist/Scientists, VMC, Group Head- Shore Station on the given required data.

Preference:

Bachelors degree in Maths /Physics (BSC) or Diploma in EEE/ECE/CSC/IT can only apply

Minimum 1 - 5 years of Experience in any relevant fields

Ability to handle & Manage the Data

Additional Data management Or computer Technical courses is an added Advantage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
