Role Overview
We’re looking for a Data Analyst I (Gaming Product Analyst) to join Felicity’s analytics team and help shape product decisions through data. In this role you’ll transform raw gameplay and user data into actionable insights that improve player engagement, retention, monetization, and reduce churn. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to guide experiments, define KPIs, and measure the impact of features and content.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Analyze gameplay telemetry and player behavior to uncover patterns and opportunities for product improvement.
- Design, run, and interpret A/B tests and experiments to evaluate new features, onboarding flows, and monetization changes.
- Define and track KPIs across the player lifecycle (e.g., DAU, retention cohorts, conversion, LTV, ARPU).
- Build and maintain dashboards and automated reports that provide day-to-day visibility into game health and product experiments.
- Develop predictive models and segmentation analyses to identify churn risk, high-value players, and optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with product, design, marketing, and live-ops teams to turn insights into prioritized product changes.
- Document methodologies, create reproducible analyses, and contribute to reusable analytics tooling and frameworks.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field.
- 1 - 3 year’s experience as a Data Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role (experience in games or mobile products preferred).
- Strong SQL skills and comfortable working with large datasets (BigQuery or equivalent).
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, numpy) and Excel for analysis and automation.
- Hands-on experience with A/B testing and statistical analysis.
- Experience building dashboards and visualizations in Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to explain analytic results to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Prior experience analyzing mobile/hybrid-casual game data (player metrics, session flows, economy analytics).
- Familiarity with event-based telemetry, Firebase/GA4, and data warehouses like BigQuery.
- Exposure to machine learning / predictive modeling (churn models, propensity models).
- Knowledge of monetization strategies (IAP, ads), user acquisition funnels, and UA metrics.
- Strong documentation, reproducible analysis, and engineering collaboration skills.
Why Join Felicity Games
- Be part of an ambitious, data-driven game publisher building products and tooling to scale games quickly. Felicity has raised seed funding and is actively expanding its publishing and tech capabilities.
- Work on titles that reach real players (notable published games include Seek & Find and Nova Solitaire).
- Cross-functional, high-ownership environment where analytics directly shape product and growth decisions.
- Opportunities for rapid learning and growth in analytics, live-ops, and product strategy.
