To be successful as a Data Engineer – DevOps you should have experience with:

• Experience in ETL deployment, change management, or production support roles.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools (Ab Initio or similar) and AWS services (S3, EC2, Redshift).
• Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data integration, and orchestration in cloud environments.
• Experience managing code promotion between environments using GitLab and controlled release processes.
• Proficiency in UNIX/Linux, shell scripting, and SQL.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins) and infrastructure automation.
• Good understanding of release governance, change control, and incident management processes (ITIL framework preferred).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  
  

• Knowledge of AWS Glue, Lambda, or Step Functions for ETL orchestration.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) for environment setup.
• Exposure to Agile/DevOps methodologies for data engineering.
• Familiarity with Ab Initio Express>It, Metadata Hub, or Data Profiler.

This role is based out of Pune.

Purpose of the role

To build and maintain the systems that collect, store, process, and analyse data, such as data pipelines, data warehouses and data lakes to ensure that all data is accurate, accessible, and secure.

Accountabilities

• Build and maintenance of data architectures pipelines that enable the transfer and processing of durable, complete and consistent data.
• Design and implementation of data warehoused and data lakes that manage the appropriate data volumes and velocity and adhere to the required security measures.
• Development of processing and analysis algorithms fit for the intended data complexity and volumes.
• Collaboration with data scientist to build and deploy machine learning models.
