Data Engineer - Reporting

Overview

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Azure Data Analyst with a strong background in Microsoft Azure, SQL, and Power BI. The ideal candidate should be capable of handling data-related projects, coordinating effectively with the database team, and demonstrating leadership and team management capabilities. This is a Work from Office role based in Hyderabad.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, deploy, and maintain scalable data solutions using Azure Data Services, SQL, and Power BI
• Collaborate with the Database team to optimize data structures and ensure seamless integration
• Design and build interactive dashboards and visual reports using Power BI
• Analyze data trends, generate actionable insights, and share findings with stakeholders
• Lead and mentor junior team members; provide guidance and support where needed
• Ensure data accuracy, performance tuning, and process automation for reporting
• Participate in requirement gathering, estimation, and project planning activities
• Manage project timelines and ensure timely delivery of data solutions

Required Skills & Experience:

• 4+ years of experience in Azure Data Services, SQL development, and Power BI
• Strong understanding of ETL processes, data modeling, and data visualization
• Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams, especially Database teams
• Proven team management or team-leading experience
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work in a dynamic environment
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Microsoft Certifications in Azure or Power BI are a plus
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Data Factory, or Synapse Analytics is an advantage
