Data Engineer- Talend

Position: Data Integration Developer- Talend

Purpose of the Position: As a Talend Data Engineer you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable data pipelines.

Location: Nagpur/Pune/Chennai/Bangalore

Key Result Areas and Activities:

1. ETL/ELT Solutions Development: Design, develop, and deploy ETL/ELT solutions both on-premise and in the cloud.
2. Data Transformation: Perform data transformation using stored procedures to ensure data is accurately processed and formatted.
3. Report Development: Develop comprehensive reports using tools like MicroStrategy and Power BI to support business decision-making.
4. Documentation and Data Management: Create and maintain detailed documentation for data pipelines, configurations, and processes, ensuring data quality and integrity through effective management practices.
5. Performance Monitoring and Issue Resolution: Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines, and troubleshoot and resolve any data-related issues promptly.

Essential Skills:

• Good experience in Talend Suit (Talend Data Integration, Talend Cloud, etc.)
• Good experience in Snowflake & Stored Procedure
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and data modelling
• Experience with data quality frameworks, monitoring tools, and job scheduling
• Knowledge of data formats like JSON, XML, CSV, and Parquet
• Agile methodology & tools like JIRA

Desirable Skills:

• Good experience in MicroStrategy and PowerBI
• Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Java, or Shell scripting
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and cloud data services

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in Talend

Qualities:

• Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies
• Can influence and implement change; demonstrates confidence, strength of conviction and sound decisions
