Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer / Azure Data Factory (ADF) Developer with 5 years of experience to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and integration workflows.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Azure Data Services and will work closely with our data, analytics, and cloud teams to deliver robust and efficient data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Integrate data from multiple sources into Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, Synapse Analytics, or similar platforms.
• Build and optimize data models and data flows for business intelligence and analytics use cases.
• Develop robust monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks for data pipelines.
• Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and design optimal data solutions.
• Perform data wrangling, data cleansing, and transformation for structured and semi-structured datasets.
• Implement data governance, security, and compliance best practices within Azure environments.
• Ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability of data solutions.
• Document technical solutions, data flows, and design decisions for maintainability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5 years of professional experience in Data Engineering, ETL Development, or ADF Development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and related Azure services.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing ETL/ELT processes using ADF pipelines and Data Flows.
• Good working knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, and database concepts.
• Strong understanding of data modeling (star schema, snowflake schema) and data warehousing concepts.
• Familiarity with Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, or other big data solutions.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

Good to Have:

• Experience with Azure Data Bricks, Azure Functions, or Azure Logic Apps.
• Exposure to cloud security and data privacy best practices.
• Familiarity with other cloud platforms like AWS or GCP is a plus.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate certification is an advantage.
