About the Role
As an AWS Data Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing and implementing cutting-edge
data analytics solutions using the AWS ecosystem. You’ll collaborate with data scientists,
analysts, and cross-functional teams to turn business challenges into data-driven
solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS services like S3,
Glue, and EMR.
• Develop and optimize ETL processes to ingest data from multiple sources into our
data lake and warehouse.
• Work closely with data scientists and analysts to transform, aggregate, and prepare
data for analysis.
• Ensure data integrity and quality by implementing validation and monitoring
frameworks.
• Optimize performance and cost-efficiency of our data infrastructure.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, and
internal standards.
• Document architecture, workflows, and operational processes.
• Stay current with evolving AWS data technologies and industry trends.
What You Bring:
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with strong expertise in AWS.
(Azure knowledge is a bonus!)
• Hands-on experience with key AWS services such as Redshift, EMR, Kinesis, and
Glue.
• Deep understanding of ETL workflows, data modeling, warehousing, and
governance.
• Proficient in Python and SQL, with experience in data manipulation/transformation.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and version control systems like Git.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Education & Certification:
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in an IT-related discipline.
• Certification in AWS Certified Data Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect
Associate is a big plus.
What You’ll Do:
Report directly to the Practice Lead.
• Collaborate with sales teams to scope data opportunities and propose solutions.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy data analytics platforms and models.
• Assist with technical documentation, manuals, and specifications.
• Support deployment, releases, and troubleshooting of solutions.
• Participate in user requirement gathering, user stories, and estimation sessions.
