What does this role hold for you…??

• Taking responsibility of onboarding data into data lake – pulling data from master data sources, storing & processing in S3, Databricks & then developing reports in Databricks Dashboard (primarily) & Tableau (Occasionally) for business audience.

• Working closely with business audiences to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Working on data models and analytical capabilities according to business needs and ensuring proper data governance and quality.

• Maintaining high levels of development practices including: technical design, solution development, systems configuration, test documentation/execution, issue identification and resolution, writing clean, modular and self-sustaining code, with repeatable quality and predictability.

• Bonus points for experience with streaming data technologies (e.g., Apache Kafka) and the ability to transform streaming data based on business requirements.

• Solid understanding of AWS infrastructure and key services such as DMS, S3, EC2, and others relevant to data processing and storage.

• Proactive in identifying opportunities to optimize existing processes, reduce infrastructure and storage costs, and improve overall system performance.

Apply if you have…

• Bachelor / Master degree in computer science or equivalent working experience in software development, data engineering or related field.

• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in delivering data pipelines and reporting tools using technologies like AWS, Kafka, Spark, Databricks, Tableau.

• Strong experience with SQL/NoSQL datastores & understanding of scripting languages like Python etc.

• Demonstrable track record of dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering results in a dynamic environment.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively advocate technical solutions to engineering teams and business audiences.

• Knowledge of how to create and improve data sets, “big data” data pipelines, and infrastructures.

• Being able to do root cause analysis on data and procedures both internally and outside to find possibilities for improvement and provide clarification.

• Outstanding analytical abilities related to coping with unstructured datasets.

• Capacity to develop procedures that support task management, data structures, dependence, and metadata.
