About The Role

At Expedia Group, we believe travel connects the world, and data powers that connection. We are looking for a curious and motivated Data Scientist II to join our team and help shape the future of travel through data-driven insights and innovation. This role offers the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams—including product, engineering, and business stakeholders—to solve meaningful problems, optimize performance, and enhance customer experiences.

What You’ll Do

• Translate business questions into clear, actionable analytical tasks.
• Perform data analysis using tools such as SQL, Python or R, Excel, and Tableau.
• Support the design and analysis of experiments (e.g., A/B testing) to inform decisions.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports to track key metrics.
• Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities and deliver insights.
• Apply statistical techniques and basic predictive modeling to support decision-making.
• Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Contribute to a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  
  

Who You Are

• 2 to 4 years of experience in data analytics, data science, or a related field.
• Proficient in SQL and at least one programming language (Python or R).
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Solid understanding of statistical concepts and experimentation basics.
• Strong communicator with a collaborative mindset.
• Eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Passionate about using data to solve real-world problems.
