Database Engineer (Azure SQL Developer)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions in Microsoft SQL Server.
• Design and implement efficient database structures for performance and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including query performance tuning and indexing strategies.
• Assist in database migrations and cloud optimizations on Azure.
• Work closely with engineering, product, and support teams to address data-related tasks.
• Conduct data analysis and reporting to generate insights for business and product teams.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with company policies and industry standards.
• Stay updated with emerging trends and best practices in SQL development and Azure cloud technologies.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as an SQL Developer in a technology-driven company.
• Strong experience with Azure SQL Database and related services.
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and triggers.
• Experience in query performance tuning, indexing strategies, and database optimization.
• Familiarity with advanced SQL concepts, including common table expressions, window functions, pivoting, dynamic SQL, and handling JSON/XML data.
• Familiarity with cloud-based databases and security best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle large-scale datasets.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python) for automation is a plus.
• Experience using Postman for API testing and troubleshooting is a plus.
• Mandatory: Ability to work in the EST time zone.
