Overview
About the Role
We're not looking for someone to maintain a steady ship. We're looking for someone to build the ship while sailing it.
You'll be architecting infrastructure from scratch, making foundational decisions that will outlive your first week, and moving fast without breaking (too many) things. You'll own the full stack: CI/CD, cloud infra, observability, security posture, developer experience — all of it.
If you've spent your career in a well-defined lane with tickets and quarterly planning cycles, this probably isn't it. But if you get a little too excited about a beautifully designed pipeline at 11pm — keep reading.
What You'll Do
Design and own cloud infrastructure from the ground up (AWS / GCP / Azure)
Build CI/CD pipelines that make engineers unreasonably happy
Set up monitoring, alerting, and observability before we need it, not after
Define and enforce security and compliance foundations
Be the person everyone goes to when prod is on fire — and the one who makes sure fires happen less
Think like an engineer AND a product owner for internal tooling
Who You Are
You've done this before — not necessarily at scale, but you've started something
You treat infrastructure as a product, not a cost center
You can switch from strategy to terminal in the same conversation
You're energized by ambiguity, not paralyzed by it
You care about the mission, not just the sprint board
You don't clock-watch — you ship-watch
