As part of the APAC development team, the DevOps Engineer will be involved in the entire project lifecycle, taking on both software development and serving as the technical lead for our DevOps setup. In this role, you will closely collaborate with the IT Team for Global Market & Risk, contributing to the development process and driving the standardization and acceleration of our delivery workflows by establishing robust CI/CD pipelines.
The ideal candidate will prioritize DevOps practices while demonstrating strong coding abilities in C# and/or Python. You should be proficient in various tools, including Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Zabbix, Theia, XL Deploy, XL Release, ServiceNow, OpenShift, Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence.
Your contributions will be essential in automating processes, enhancing system reliability, and promoting collaboration among development, support, security, and infrastructure teams. We are looking for someone who is not only passionate about DevOps but also possesses the development skills necessary to make a significant impact on our projects.
Main Responsibilities:
- Participate in project development lifecycle in Python and/or C#.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, XL Deploy & Release.
- Integrate security tools to ensure the identification and remediation of vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with the security team to address and resolve security issues promptly.
- Conduct knowledge transfer (KT) sessions with developers on CI/CD best practices.
- Proven experience in a DevOps role with a strong emphasis on automation.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C# for participating in development cycles and automation tasks.
- Strong system administration skills with a solid understanding of infrastructure management.
- Experience with Azure DevOps for server build and deployment, including tool upgrades (must have).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools, particularly Jenkins, as well as monitoring tools like Zabbix and development environments like Theia.
- Familiarity with deployment tools such as XL Deploy and XL Release.
- Experience on container orchestration platforms, particularly OpenShift is a plus.
- Familiarity with Git version control systems.
- Ability to work independently, allocate tasks effectively, and drive projects forward without waiting for guidance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
- Experience with ServiceNow.
- Knowledge of best practices in DevOps and continuous improvement.
