DevOps Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a DevOps Developer / SRE to join our team on a contract basis. This role is focused on supporting a suite of applications across both cloud and on-prem environments, driving operational excellence, and automating infrastructure and deployment processes.

Purpose

This position will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our applications, while also streamlining operational workflows through automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide production and QA support for applications hosted in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and on-premises data centers
• Ensure application availability in alignment with defined SLOs (Service Level Objectives)
• Implement application performance monitoring, develop insightful dashboards, and configure proactive alerting
• Support CI/CD pipeline management and deployment coordination with development teams
• Automate repetitive tasks by understanding application workflows and business logic
• Generate and share performance metrics with managers and stakeholders
• Build automated pipelines for provisioning Azure resources, including user account creation and access management for application resource groups

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of relevant development and DevOps experience
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket
• Strong expertise in CI/CD pipeline development, preferably with Jenkins
• Proficient in troubleshooting Java and JavaScript-based applications through log analysis and metrics
• Solid understanding of Linux and Windows environments
• Experience with Terraform (preferred)
• AZ-104 Certification required

Technical Skills

• Proficient in one or more programming/scripting languages: Python, Java/Groovy, JavaScript
• Experience with relational databases: PostgreSQL (preferred), SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, or MySQL
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace (OpenTelemetry is a plus)
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes container orchestration
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Rotational shift

Supplemental Pay:

• Performance bonus
