Job Description – DevOps Infrastructure Engineer
Experience Required 4–8 Years (flexible based on relevant experience)
Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on DevOps / Lab Infrastructure Engineer to support and manage lab environments, automation initiatives, and infrastructure-related activities. The role will primarily focus on Docker-based environments, scripting, automation, and cloud-hosted lab infrastructure.
This position is not focused on networking administration or cloud migration projects. Candidates with strong experience in Docker, Python, and automation will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain lab environments to support development, testing, and validation activities.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and Shell scripting.
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker.
- Support infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and maintenance across cloud environments.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve lab stability, efficiency, and scalability.
- Automate repetitive operational tasks and streamline environment management processes.
- Monitor system health and proactively identify opportunities for optimization.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, application, and environment-related issues.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and best practices.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Docker.
- Proficiency in Python scripting.
- Strong knowledge of Shell Scripting (Bash/Shell).
- Experience working with at least one public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Good understanding of Linux-based environments and system administration.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced technical environment.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Exposure to Kubernetes.
- Experience with VMware virtualization technologies.
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and DevOps best practices.
