About Us:

We are a startup building a social app , designed to complement platforms like Instagram. Our MVP is live, and we’re looking to transform it into a visually stunning, highly engaging platform.

Role Overview:

We seek a talented Full-Stack UI/UX Developer to lead the design and development of our app’s user interface and experience, with a primary focus on creating a polished UI/UX. You’ll collaborate with our backend and frontend developers to enhance the MVP, ensuring a seamless, Instagram-like aesthetic while contributing to frontend and backend tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• UI/UX Design & Development (70%):
• Design intuitive, visually appealing interfaces for iOS/Android/web that resonate with sports fans (e.g., sleek scoreboards, highlight editors, fan challenge layouts).
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
• Implement UI designs using modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React Native, Flutter, or Vue.js) to ensure pixel-perfect, responsive layouts.
• Conduct user testing and iterate based on feedback to optimize usability and engagement.
• Ensure UI aligns with Instagram’s aesthetic for cross-platform compatibility (e.g., shareable Stories-like templates).
• Frontend Development (20%):
• Enhance existing frontend code (e.g., React, Angular, or similar) to improve performance and interactivity.
• Integrate APIs for real-time data (e.g., scores, stats) into the UI seamlessly.
• Optimize for mobile-first performance and cross-browser compatibility.
• Backend Support (10%):
• Assist with lightweight backend tasks (e.g., API endpoints, database queries) using Node.js, Python/Django, or similar.
• Collaborate with the backend developer to ensure smooth data flow between frontend and server.
• Help troubleshoot and optimize backend performance as it impacts UX (e.g., load times).

Requirements:

• Experience:
• 2-5 years in UI/UX design and development, with a portfolio showcasing mobile/web apps (ideally social related).
• 2+ years in full-stack development, with hands-on frontend (React, React Native, or similar) and backend (Node.js, Python, or similar) experience.
• Proven ability to design and code responsive, user-friendly interfaces.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in UI/UX tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and design principles (e.g., color theory, typography).
• Strong frontend skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/React Native, or Flutter).
• Familiarity with backend frameworks (Node.js, Express, Django, or similar) and databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
• Bonus: Knowledge of WebSocket for real-time features or basic DevOps (e.g., Docker, AWS).
• Soft Skills:
• Strong aesthetic sense with an eye for modern, clean design.
• Collaborative mindset to work with a small team and iterate quickly.
• Ability to balance design perfectionism with startup deadlines.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with animations or micro-interactions to enhance UX (e.g., Lottie, CSS animations).
• Familiarity with Instagram’s API or social media platform integrations.
• Contributions to open-source UI/UX projects.
• Basic knowledge of AR/VR or gamification features.
