Job Summary

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced GCP Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, data engineering, and DevOps practices. You will play a crucial role in building, optimizing, and supporting data products while championing DevOps principles and ensuring security, scalability, and performance.

Tech Stack Requirements

• Mid (5 to 8 years) and Senior (8 to 11 years) professionals
• GCP Services: BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, etc.
• Programming & Tools:
• SQL
• Python
• DBT (Data Build Tool)
• Terraform
• Optional (Depending on Team Needs):
• Basics of Azure
• Informatica or other ETL background
  

Soft Skills

• GitHub
• DevOps and CI/CD practices
• Strong communication skills
• Agile methodologies
  
  

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end responsibility for building, optimizing, and supporting existing and new data products aligned with the defined target vision.
• Champion DevOps mindset and principles, managing CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and Cloud infrastructure on GCP.
• Ensure data products are deployable as independent units, maintaining security, scalability, observability, and performance standards.
• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner and stakeholders to shape the vision for existing data products and identify new opportunities to support customer needs.
• Work with cross-functional product teams to implement data mesh concepts effectively.
• Continuously evaluate and improve data products, reducing technical debt.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest data/analytics and cloud technologies to maintain expertise.
