Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Infrastructure Support Engineer

We are a certified Google Cloud Partner providing managed cloud services and innovative digital solutions to clients across various industries. As we expand our cloud operations team, we are looking for a dedicated GCP Infrastructure Support Engineer to join us onsite in Kochi and provide infrastructure support for multiple customer environments.

Job Summary:

As a GCP Infrastructure Support Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining Google Cloud environments across multiple client projects. Your role will involve incident response, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and ensuring high availability and security of customer infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide infrastructure support for multiple customer environments hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Monitor system performance, uptime, and resource usage using GCP Cloud Operations (formerly Stackdriver)
• Respond to incidents, service requests, and support tickets related to GCP infrastructure
• Manage GCP services such as Compute Engine, VPCs, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, IAM, etc.
• Implement and manage automation using Terraform, Cloud Functions, or Deployment Manager
• Assist in backup, recovery, patching, and routine maintenance of cloud systems
• Ensure compliance with security and governance policies, and enforce best practices across customer environments

Qualifications:

Must Have:

• 3+ years of experience in cloud or infrastructure support, with at least 2 years on Google Cloud Platform
• Strong understanding of GCP core services (Compute, Networking, IAM, Storage, Monitoring)
• Experience with Linux systems administration and networking fundamentals
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or GCP Deployment Manager
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English
• Familiarity with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience supporting production environments and customer-facing systems

Good to Have:

• GCP Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional certification
• Scripting experience (e.g., Bash, Python)
• Exposure to hybrid cloud setups or on-prem integrations
• Collaborate with internal and customer teams to implement new solutions and improve existing deployments
• Maintain documentation for infrastructure, configurations, and SOPs
• Participate in on-call rotations for critical incidents and escalations
