Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Hardware and Network Engineer to manage, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware and network infrastructure at client locations under AMC support. The ideal candidate will ensure secure, reliable, and efficient data flow across LAN and WAN environments while providing hands-on technical support.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Configuration
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, workstations, servers, and networking devices.
• Set up routers, switches, firewalls, and peripheral devices at client locations.
Maintenance & Support
• Manage computer hardware inventory and ensure proper asset tracking.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support for hardware and network-related issues.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance as part of AMC commitments.
Network & Security
• Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, VLANs, and access controls.
• Ensure secure connectivity and compliance with organizational security standards.
Troubleshooting
• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity, performance, and hardware failures.
• Use diagnostic tools such as ping, traceroute, ipconfig, and log analysis.
• Identify root causes and implement long-term solutions.
Documentation
• Maintain accurate documentation of network diagrams, system configurations, and inventory.
• Record incident reports, resolutions, and AMC service logs.
Required Skills & Knowledge
Networking Fundamentals
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, subnetting, routing, and switching.
• Experience with LAN and WAN environments.
Hardware Expertise
• Knowledge of computer components, servers, storage devices, and peripherals.
• Hands-on experience with hardware installation and replacement.
Security
• Firewall configuration, network segmentation, and basic cybersecurity practices.
• Understanding of access control and secure network design.
Tools & Technologies
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools (ping, traceroute, ipconfig).
• Basic packet analysis and troubleshooting utilities.
Operating Systems
• Working knowledge of Windows OS and Windows Server.
• Familiarity with other server or network operating systems is a plus.
Role Scope (AMC – Client Location)
• Provide on-site AMC support across diverse client environments.
• Handle end-to-end IT infrastructure support for small to large enterprise clients.
• Ensure high system uptime and client satisfaction through proactive support.
Qualifications
• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Networking, or related field.
• Relevant certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or similar) are an advantage.
