Job Description & Summary – Business Solutions Analyst


Responsibilities:

Employment Type: Full-Time

PwC Advisory is seeking a dynamic and strategic Associate Director/Director to lead our BFSI Business Analysis practice. This senior leadership role will focus on driving transformative solutions for clients in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance sectors. The successful candidate will combine deep industry expertise with innovative problem-solving value propositions to deliver measurable value, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to PwC’s market-leading position in advisory services.

Lead the development and execution of business strategies for BFSI clients along with associated value solutions, addressing challenges such as digital transformation, regulatory compliance, risk management, and operational efficiency leveraging Data and Analytics functions including AI, Gen AI and emerging technologies.

Oversee a portfolio of high-impact advisory projects, ensuring exceptional delivery and alignment with client goals. Build and maintain strong relationships with C-suite executives and key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor. Direct a team of consultants and analysts, providing mentorship, fostering collaboration, and driving professional excellence. Identify new business opportunities, lead pursuits, and contribute to proposals that expand PwC’s footprint in the BFSI sector in close collaboration with the assigned D & A partner.

Leverage data-driven insights and advanced technologies (e.g., AI, cloud, blockchain) to design innovative solutions tailored to client needs. Collaborate with cross-functional PwC teams, including technology, risk assurance, and tax, to deliver integrated advisory services.

Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics to position PwC as a thought leader in BFSI. Represent PwC at industry events, conferences, and forums to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership and also work towards publication of associated journals and concept papers to propagate PwC’s point of view on the related subject of interest.

Qualifications & Experience:

MBA or equivalent in Business Administration or associated subjects from a reputed institute with bachelor’s degree in STEM, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM, or PMP) are advantageous but not required.

12+ years of experience in consulting or industry roles within BFSI, with a focus on business solutions, strategy, or transformation.

Leadership Attributes:

Proven leadership experience managing teams and delivering complex, client-facing projects (Big 4 or similar consulting experience is highly desirable). Deep knowledge of BFSI domains, including banking operations, insurance processes, wealth management, or capital markets. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools such as like Hyperscaler, Python, SAS, AI & Gen AI or advanced Excel; familiarity with fintech innovations is a plus.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of influencing senior executives and driving consensus. Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale engagements, budgets, and client expectations in a fast-paced environment.
