Intellicar - Senior Javascript/Node.js Developer

We are seeking a skilled Node.js & Express.js Developer with a strong background in server-side development and API design. As a Back-End Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable, efficient, and secure web applications. You will work closely with front-end developers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration between the client and server-side components.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize back-end services using Node.js and Express.js.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate with front-end applications.
• Work with databases (SQL or NoSQL) to store and retrieve data efficiently.
• Ensure application performance, scalability, and security best practices.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration of APIs.
• Write clean, modular, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Troubleshoot and debug server-side issues.
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., JWT, OAuth).
• Work with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Node.js and back-end :
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and Express.js, with an in-depth understanding of their core concepts.
• Experience in designing and building scalable RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Knowledge of database management (SQL - MySQL/PostgreSQL or NoSQL - MongoDB).
• Familiarity with asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
• Experience working with authentication & security best practices (e.g., JWT, OAuth, CORS).
• Proficiency in error handling, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent Qualifications :
• Experience with GraphQL or WebSockets.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and deployment strategies.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Chai).
• Experience with task runners/build tools (Webpack, Gulp, Grunt).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
• Exposure to cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
