Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Tech Lead with expertise in Java + Spring Boot to lead our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing technical operations, leading and mentoring engineers, and contributing hands-on to the codebase. You will play a key role in designing scalable architectures, optimizing system performance, and ensuring the successful delivery of backend services.

We are looking for a highly skilled Tech Lead with expertise in Java + Spring Boot to lead our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing technical operations, leading and mentoring engineers, and contributing hands-on to the codebase. You will play a key role in designing scalable architectures, optimizing system performance, and ensuring the successful delivery of backend services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the backend engineering team, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with business goals.
- Architect, design, and develop scalable, high-performance backend systems using Spring Boot and Java.
- Drive technical decisions, ensuring best practices in system design, microservices architecture, and cloud infrastructure.
- Manage backend operations, optimizing database performance (MySQL/Postgres), caching, and distributed computing solutions.
- Contribute hands-on to coding and architecture, building critical backend components while ensuring maintainability and scalability.
- Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a strong engineering culture through code reviews, technical discussions, and best practice implementation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Frontend, DevOps, and Business teams to drive innovation and efficiency.
- Ensure system reliability, security, and scalability, implementing monitoring, logging, and performance tuning solutions.
- Optimize event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar technologies.
- Lead technical hiring efforts, helping to build and scale a high-performing engineering team.
- Experience in containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services for infrastructure management.
- Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis) and distributed caching solutions.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
- 5+ years of experience in backend development, system design, and technical leadership.
- Proven expertise in Java + Spring Boot, designing scalable and distributed applications.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, design patterns, and cloud infrastructure.
- Deep experience with databases (MySQL/Postgres), query optimization, and high-availability systems.
- Experience in leading engineering teams, mentoring developers, and driving technical projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a passion for building scalable, efficient, and maintainable systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
