Desh Keyboard is India's most loved keyboard app with over a 150 million downloads (and 40 million weekly active users).
Manglish Keyboard, our Malayalam version is used by 50% of Malayalam speakers. We’re a small, focused team of ~30 people, based in Kochi, Kerala.
About this role
Join a small elite team shipping high-quality features in an app used by millions of users daily. As an iOS Engineer, you’ll work on Desh Keyboard’s iOS version – including the main app, keyboard extension, and related widgets/experiences – and own features end-to-end from idea to release. You’ll work closely with our founders and engineers, with lots of autonomy and responsibility.
Salary range
Depending on your expertise, we’ll consider you for:
- Intermediate: ₹12L – ₹16L CTC
- Senior: ₹18L – ₹24L CTC
Note that this is an in-office position at Kochi, Kerala.
Qualifications
- Strong experience building and shipping native iOS apps
- Excellent programming skills in Swift & Objective-C
- Experience with iOS app extensions (especially custom keyboards) and/or widgets is a big plus
- Comfortable working with UIKit (and/or SwiftUI), networking, local storage, and app architecture patterns
- Passion for writing clean, maintainable code with high attention to detail
- Ability to break down complex problems into simple, shippable pieces
- This is a full-time, on-site role at our office in Kochi, Kerala, India
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience building and maintaining iOS applications professionally or as an indie developer
- Any experience working on keyboard apps, extensions, or input/typing experiences is a strong bonus
