IT Administrator

We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Administrator to oversee and maintain our IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of hands-on experience in system administration, network management, and troubleshooting, with a strong focus on performance optimization and minimizing downtime.

The IT Administrator will be responsible for configuring servers, managing databases, implementing security protocols, and ensuring IT assets' security. This role requires a problem-solver with a proactive approach who can collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive process improvements to enhance system stability and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Administration & Performance Optimization:
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, and applications.
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
• Optimize IT infrastructure to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
• Network Management & Troubleshooting:
• Manage, monitor, and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, and network security.
• Diagnose and resolve network issues to minimize disruptions.
• Implement and maintain network policies and procedures.
• Database Administration & Security:
• Administer, maintain, and secure databases to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Develop and enforce security policies to protect organizational assets.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement security measures against cyber threats.
• IT Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Provide technical support to employees and resolve IT-related issues efficiently.
• Work closely with different departments to understand and fulfill IT needs.
• Train users on IT best practices and security protocols.
• Process Improvement & Documentation:
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance IT efficiency.
• Maintain proper documentation of IT infrastructure, configurations, and changes.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend upgrades when necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in IT administration, system management, and network troubleshooting.
• Strong expertise in Windows/Linux server administration and virtualization technologies.
• Knowledge of database management (MySQL, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL).
• Experience with firewalls, security protocols, VPNs, and network security.
• Proficiency in cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
