IT Data Engineer

The Data Engineer will be responsible for development, transformation and ongoing quality management of business data objects sourced from a wide range of internal/external systems with differing storage types.

What You Will Need:
Required Skills:

* Strong understanding of data modeling principles and techniques
* Proficiency in SQL coding, including complex queries, joins, and subqueries.
* Knowledgeable with data warehousing concepts, including ETL processes, dimensional modeling, and data mart design.
* Knowledge of or experience in data vault methodology
* Knowledge of SQL and experience working with enterprise data warehousing systems
* Experience in requirements gathering, including eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
* Ability to develop and optimize stored procedures for data manipulation and transformation.

What Will Put You Ahead?
Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies or working in Sprint-based development teams.
* Proficiency in using Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Birst, PowerBI, and Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
* Familiarity with modern Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) and Extract, Load, Transform (ELT) processes and tools.
* Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS)

A Day in The Life Typically Includes:

* Develop and enhance modeled Data Sets within visualization tools.
* Collaborate with the Data Analyst team to understand visualization requirements and assist in building visualizations and dashboards that meet business needs.

* Ensure the security and integrity of published data by implementing appropriate access controls and data protection measures.
